Unable to Disable Hyper-V on Windows 10 Version1809

I have been trying to disable Hyper-V on Windows 10 in order to run VMWare and have been unable to.  I continue to get the following error from VMware Workstation 15 Player:
"VMware Player and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware Player."

My OS specs:

  • Edition: Windows 10 Pro
  • Version: 1809
  • OS build: 17763.557

I have tried the following:

  • Running these on an elevated CMD:
  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  • Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
  • sfc /scannow
  • In elevated Powershell:
  • Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V-All

It also recommends reinstalling .NET framework, which did not help.

  • I have disabled all features related to Hyper-V through Programs and Features
  • I have run:
  • Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V-Hypervisor
  • In an elevated Powershell

This did not work either.

I have tried running:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

In an elevated Powershell session.  This did not work either.

I can’t find any other steps online to disable Hyper-V and I’m completely out of ideas.  Any help would be much appreciated.
