SAN data replication and automatic VM failover
Hi,
Is it possible to have dual SAN’s, replicating data between each other in a Hyper-V Failover Cluster environment where if 1 of the SAN’s loses power, all VM’s that were pointing to the SAN that has lost power, will automatically failover to the 2nd SAN which
is still live and working and continue to work as normal, without any downtime?
I need to implement a solution where the downtime is minimal and users don’t experience any issues if 1 of the SAN’s has a fault, loses power etc.
Is this even possible, i have been looking for a solution online for a while, but cannot see anything that helps, solutions are there if one of the nodes fails and the VM’s will live migrate to the best posisble node, but cannot see anything for what happens
if a node loses access to it’s storage.
Thanks
Replication of virtual machine
Running a Windows Server 2016 with Hyper-V and have one virtual machine on this server. This virtual machine seems to have been replicated to the location and show as:
Replication Mode: Replica
Replication State: Failover complete
Replication Healt: Critical
Primary server: A server that does not exist anymore
Replica server: The server I am looing at where the virtual machine is running.
Last synchronised: Over a year ago.
How can I make this virtual machine show "normal" status without any replication and have the current server as primary server as the old primary server is long gone?
Thanks for any suggestions and assistance,

Shrink C: Volume on VM’s VHD
Hello. A couple of years ago, in my inexperience, I set up a VM and configured the C: drive to have 2TB of available space. There are no other VHDs associated with this VM. It really only needs to be 30 GB, as the current amount of data that’s on it is about
20 GB.
Is there a way to shrink the C: volume to 30 GB from 2 TB?
Thank you.

question about replication and failover
Hi
new to this replcation and VM stuff
I have currently setup 2 server running server 2012r2 and a numner of virtual machines, VM1 replicates to VM2 within issue, replication Health shows no errors
Yet when i perform a replication test or a "live" fail over replication, each time i connect to the new VM, its shows a unidentified network connection and with no ping
I have Fixed IP’s on each of the cleints and have the same VLANS set on each replication,
I have checked and each server is connected the same vlans on the switch.
Sometimes i can get it to connect the domain, and ping by turning off the VLAN option in the network adaptor settings for the team, other times no, and requires me to put it on dchp, get an address, then back to fixed
Confused - Any ideas what could be causing this - I would like to be able to switch to the replicate without these issues
